That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone approves the recommendation received from Thomas Stoneman, Working Roads/Facilities Superintendent regarding the installation of a new propane furnace/air conditioner.

AND FURTHERMORE to improve the existing furnace in the basement, to supply heat and air to the kitchen as part of the kitchen renovation, at an approximate cost of $3000.00.   Carried

That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby receives the following quotation for the Dunchurch Community Centre kitchen renovations:

From Bid Amount
First On-Site $84,668.35 Includes HST
Promus $98, 587.33 Includes HST

AND FURTHER that the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby awards the kitchen renovation contract to First On-Site, at a cost of $84,668.35 including HST, conditional that the Municipality of Whitestone is in receipt of the following:
- WSIB Clearance Certificate
- Certificate of $1,000,000 Liability Insurance
- Current WHMIS training
AND FURTHERMORE that the Bidder shall comply with the Ontario
Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations (including proper equipment/motorized equipment).   Carried

Public Meeting – Zoning By-Law Amendment (Jensen – MJ Developments Inc.)

• The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-Law amendment is to rezone Part of Lot 37, Concession 4 in the geographic Township of Burton from the Crown Land (CL) Zone to a Special Provision Limited Services Zone. A new paragraph is being added to Section 17 – Special Provisions of By-Law 10-2005.

Official Plan Amendments

WHEREAS the Minister of Municipal Affairs may delegate the authority to approve Official Plan amendments to area Planning Boards.

AND WHEREAS the Parry Sound Area Planning Board has requested that it be delegated authority to approve site-specific Official Plan amendments.

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone as a member of the Parry Sound Area Planning Board hereby support the request to be delegated the authority to approve site-specific Official Plan amendments as set out in Resolution No. 2017-8.  Carried
