Zoning By-Law Update

That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby directs staff to place the zoning by-law update and the redline version on the municipal website;

AND FURTHER directs John Jackson, Planner to prepare a letter to all cottage and/or road associations that provides an update/timelines.  Carried
 

Merritt et al Consents – Extension to Fulfill Conditions

That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby advises the Parry Sound Area Planning Board that they have no objection to an extension of time to be granted to fulfill the conditions in regards to the Merritt et al Consents.  Carried

That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby authorizes staff to start announcing that the Municipality is taking steps to go paperless with respect to the quarterly newsletters and sample wording will be in the draft newsletter for February 6, 2017.   Carried

Council Supports Town of Bancroft – Municipal Lotteries
2017-39

That the Council of the Municipality of Whitestone hereby supports the resolution passed by the Town of Bancroft requesting the Province of Ontario to strongly consider allowing municipalities in Ontario to hold municipal lotteries for the purpose of generating funds for local infrastructure needs;
AND FURTHER that this resolution be forwarded to Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario; the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO); the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM), the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA), and the Town of Bancroft.  Carried
