CALL 911

911 calling services are in effect for police, fire, and medical emergencies. 911 services came into effect on September 3, 2003 in the Municipality of Whitestone. All ratepayers with telephone service can dial 911 for fire, police, or medical emergencies.


The areas covered by 911 are the geographical Townships of Burton, East Burpee, Ferrie, Hagerman, McKenzie and Croft. Bell Canada notified the Ambulance Base in Parry Sound that the cut-over includes the Municipality of Whitestone, Township of The Archipelago, First Nations of Shawanaga, and Magnetawan.

Billing, which was also effective as of November 5, 2003 will be at a cost of 21¢ per month per household.
